Au pair stay in Italy for EU and EFTA citizens
If you are from one of the EU or EFTA countries o EFTA:

• You must have a valid identity document
• You must possess the European Health Insurance Card
• Your host family must present the Hospitality Declaration within 48 hours from your arrival in Italy

Au pair stay in Italy for non-EU citizens
Stays of less than 90 days: If you are not a Community citizen and you want to stay in Italy for less than 90 days, depending on your country of residence, you may be eligible for a tourist visa or require an entry visa; for further information please visit www.vistoperitalia.esteri.it

Below is given information about visitors from countries for which you do not need an entry visa:

• You must have a passport which is  valid for at least three months after your  scheduled departure from the Schengen area.
• You host family is required to present the Hospitality Declaration within 48 hours from your arrival in Italy
• You must have a health insurance

Au Pair In Italy for Citizens from Australia
If you are an Australian citizen, you can stay in our country up to 6 months with a Work and Study visa. In addition:

• You must have a passport which is  valid for at least three months after your  scheduled departure from the Schengen area.
• You must have a health insurance
• You host family is required to present the Hospitality Declaration within 48 hours from your arrival in Italy
• You must also prove that you possess the requested minimum means of subsistence for your stay in Italy and return to your own country.
